GENERAL FUNCTION
The Compensation and Payroll Specialist is accountable for providing accurate, timely and efficient payroll attendance services to the employees.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manages compensation packages using payroll software;
• Prepares New Employee Payroll Data Sheet;
• Encodes employees' submitted work schedules and extracts attendance logs during payroll cut-off periods;
• Submits to Audit and Finance Payroll Master the new employee payroll data sheet;
• Validates employee attendance with submitted and approved HR forms;
• Prepares final payroll attendance sheets and submits the report to the Audit Department for proper processing, prints payslips thereafter;
• Collects and verifies timekeeping information for all employees from biometrics devices;
• Calculates payroll attendance according to hours worked incorporating leaves and overtime;
• Updates paper and electronic payroll records by entering adjustments on pay rates, employee status changes etc.;
• Calculates unemployment and severance payments;
• Validates attendance with submitted and approved HR Forms (Leave of Absences, OB, OT, UT, ML, PL, BL);
• Deals with complaints and questions regarding payroll from employees and upper management;
• Investigates and resolves any discrepancies in payroll; and
• Performs other duties as assigned which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor of Science Graduate of any 4-years course, preferably Human Resources Management, Psychology, Commerce, or Business Administration;
• At least 2 years' experience in payroll preparations;
• Computer Literate;
• Experience in data collection, entry and reporting with great attention to detail and confidentiality;
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills;
• Excellent communication abilities with aptitude in problem-solving;
• With apparent social and people skills;
• Works independently with minimal supervision; and
• Positive attitude and handles pressure and stress well, flexible.
