The purpose of this position is to:
Exhibit positive attitude towards leaning and applying Design HSE practices
Promote and foster HSE standards and goals
Develop knowledge and skills to meet required levels for upgrade
Perform routine HSE assignments requiring interface with other disciplines
Primary Job Duties/Functions are as follows:
Execute FIRE PROTECTION DESIGN/ENGINEERING activities during Design Phase of the project
Guide basic level HSE design personnel
Produce deliverables as listed below with minimum supervision of Senior engineer:
o Fire and Gas concept sketches/layout/ philosophies
o Fire Water Demand Calculation
o Fire Protection Drawings/ Specifications/ Philosophies
o Passive Fire Protection Layout
o Conceptual Fire Water Layout
o Fire Protection equipment Layout
o Deluge detailed arrangement drawings
o Fire Water PFD/ P&IDs
o Fire Zone Layout
o Other protective systems drawings required per project
Prepare Fire water hydraulic calculations using PIPENET
Check basic level HSE personnel deliverables
Assist in preparation of the following HSE deliverables:
o Definition of applicable standards/regulations for the project
o Fire Detection and Protection Philosophy
o Specifications for Fire Fighting Systems
Knowledgeable in CAD Tools such as Autocad and Microstation is required
Implement Inherently Safer Concepts in the design
Participate in formal design reviews such as ISD, Layout, P&ID and Model reviews
Implement Management of Change in Design Phase
Lead HSE for a small to medium scale project
Develop and make a formal presentation when given the opportunity

Accredited Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent
Minimum of at least 9 years of relevant experience of Fire Protection Design/Engineering
Involvement in Offshore and LNG projects is an advantage
Experience in Building Fire Protection and Fire Alarm System Engineering and Design is an advantage
Successful completion of major projects

Preferred Qualifications
Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing and email as well as the intermediate use of spreadsheets and electronic presentations
Experience in PIPENet software is required.
Experience in using CAD tools such as AutoCad and Microstation is required.
Experience in using 3D model viewing tools such as Smart Plant Review and Review Reality or equivalent software is required.
