HR SPECIALIST
 
Job Description:
The HR Specialist will support the Human Resources department by managing various HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, and compliance with labor laws. This role requires a detail-oriented, professional individual with excellent communication skills, capable of handling sensitive information with discretion.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Staffing:
- Manage recruitment processes, including creating job descriptions, posting job advertisements, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and coordinating hiring decisions.
- Assist in onboarding new employees and ensure smooth integration into the company.
- Maintain an active candidate database and conduct regular follow-ups with prospective candidates.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as the point of contact for employee concerns and inquiries regarding company policies, benefits, and other HR matters.
- Assist in resolving workplace issues and conflicts between employees or between employees and management.
- Facilitate employee engagement programs to promote a positive workplace culture.
Performance Management:
- Support the administration of performance management processes, including performance reviews, goal-setting, and development plans.
- Work with department heads to implement and track employee performance metrics.
- Provide guidance and support to employees regarding performance improvement plans, when necessary.
Training and Development:
- Assist in identifying training needs across departments.
- Coordinate and facilitate employee training programs and workshops to enhance skill sets.
- Monitor the effectiveness of training programs and provide recommendations for improvement.
Compliance and Record Keeping:
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases, including new hires, promotions, and terminations.
- Assist in preparing reports related to HR metrics and compliance for management review.
Payroll and Benefits Administration:
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure timely, accurate compensation for all employees.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave entitlements.
 
Job Qualifications:
 
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in a Human Resources role, preferably as an HR Specialist or in a similar capacity.
- Strong understanding of HR processes, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and benefits administration.
- Familiarity with labor laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in HR software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to managing HR challenges.
-SHRM-CP or PHR certification is a plus but not required.
