Description
Duties and Responsibilities
Gather and review all patient charges.
Process the insurance, HMO and PHIC charging.
Generate Statement of Account (SOA).
Gather all documents and process the claim from HMO/Insurance.
Gather all documents and process the claim from PHIC.
Resolve billing issues by explaining the hospital billing policies and procedure, refer patient and third-party payer to the HMO office to explain insurance contract and negotiate settlement.
Process credit memos.
Follow all work processes, procedures, while maintaining compliance to the rules and regulations set forth by the company.
Protect and keep all patient and hospital information confidential.
Ensure strict confidentiality of financial records.
Perform other tasks that may be assigned from time to time.
Skills and Qualifications
Graduate of BS Accountancy or any Business Course
With at least 6 months experience in HMO-Billing experience preferably gained in a hospital-set up.
Must possess good business communication and interpersonal relation skills
Can handle confidential information with utmost discretion
Technical adequacy in accounting principles and processes
