Purpose of the position
The Global Process Specialist is the support party for the Global Process Owner Record-to-Report, Controlling-to-Report. The main focus lies on supporting the Group Process Owner to set up a baseline, namely by taking owernship of process descriptions, work instruction and similar. Close cooperation and alignment with second Group Process Specialist, RTR/CTR is needed.
Involvement in continuous improvement and optimisation as well as key user network engagement will be on the agenda.
Simultaneously creating and improving the standardization across all activities in the RtR/CtR, the consultant should be able on own initiative to investigates and push for standardization in close cooperation with GPO across the department, Business owners, Finance Business Change Management & Finance IT for wider process change implementation.
Key Tasks
Group Process Specialist tasks:
Process and describe current processes & future changes in the RtR/CtR processes with focus on:
Documentation
Standardization
Centralization
Automation
Productivity/Performance and Business purpose
Quality
Compliance
Identification of new optimization possibilities
Responsible for RtR/CtR Process Documentation maintenance
In alignment with key stakeholders, reviews on a regular basis idea for improvement or challenges
Process Support during implementations/rollouts
Ensure that all relevant Business Requirements are validated and approved translated into relevant process set-up
Validating/Analysing/Supporting SRQs connected to the RtR/CtR process
Actively research trends in the RtR/CtR area, liaise with other companies on experience to get an outside in view for DSV.
Decision Making Authority
Preparation of exception requests with justification for GPO alignment. The GPO can accept exceptions needed within the standard process due to local legal requirements and business musts.

Educational background / Work experience

High level knowledge in Accounting & Finance.
Some experience in Accounting or Finance
Some level of SAP technical/functionality knowledge
Experience from working with Process description and flowcharts
Experience within corporate environment required
Language skills
English fluent
Further languages are a plus
Computer Literacy
Strong Excel & Microsoft Office capabilities are a must
Some SAP ERP / BW knowledge
Broad knowledge on 3rd party reporting systems
