GDS is EY's shared services organization. It consists of multiple service delivery centers from whichClient Service and Enablement Services teams operate to deliver a range of support and services to EY. To work with Global Delivery Services is to tap into one of EY's greatest global assets - 40,000smart, dedicated and incredibly responsive people, based in six countries. The Opportunity Risk Management Services (RMS) team at EY plays an important role in managing the internal risksof the firm associated with accepting a new client or an engagement or risks associated with any ofour ongoing audit / non audit engagement. Formed in 2007, the RMS team is growing rapidly as aCenter of Excellence for all standardized quality / compliance related activities that can be efficientlyundertaken from a central location. The RMS team has enjoyed good visibility within the global EY RMS community and has been involvedin development of some key RMS processes. The team has current staff strength of 400+ people andis poised for growing rapidly in next couple of years. Independence Assurance Support Services The Independence Assurance Support Services team within RMS works with Audit engagement teams/ Country Independence teams across EY for completing various work programs that aim to assessour Independence on an ongoing basis or before accepting a new Public Interest Entity (PIE) auditclient. Your key responsibilities The individual will be interpreting RMS policies, determining required actions and makingrecommendations based on firm guidance. Other responsibilities include analysing issues andproducing deliverables to document the diligence with which such tasks were performed, as the workproduct for these individuals is subject to review and scrutiny by outside regulators. Interactions aregenerally at the executive level with client team members and RMS personnel. Skills and attributes for success . Performs initial review of submissions from client teams and evaluates completeness,accuracy and appropriateness of proposed transaction/requests. . Uses analytical and project management methodology and tools . Learns the firm structure, business strategies, service lines, and people of the firm . Individual is expected to apply judgment to initial consultations and/or submission review and rapidly develop understanding of key requirements of firm and regulator's RMS rulesand policies . Individual will reference existing policies however, due to frequency of unique situationswill need to research issues and, through situation specific inquiries, propose solutions toissues To qualify . Must be proficient in the Business/Formal Japanese Language . Must have an N3 or N4 JLPT Certificate . Postgraduate is referred . Should have 1-3 years of experience in a secondary research / analysis role . Candidates with exposure to client interaction would be preferred .
