WHAT THIS POSITION IS ABOUT?
The Financial Planning and Analysis Specialist will support a wide range of financial support activities including planning / forecasting / budgeting and overall performance management and reporting, as well as other core performance management services. He/she must have a work experience in planning, controlling and reporting, and be capable to provide efficient, business oriented financial support to the functions.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
1) Management Accounting and FP&A:
Provide financial support in planning / forecasting and performance management processes to markets in scope for GBS
Prepare financial summaries (data, analytics, variance analysis and presentations)
Support transactional processes for the markets such as marketing accruals, allocations by brand family/ product type
Build and maintain strong business relationships within the team, GBS Manila and other GBS teams for optimized transactional processing
2) Specialist Tasks:
Support the documentation of FP&A processes transferred to GBS from the markets
Prepare journal entries and monthly reports for the markets
Support interim and annual planning cycles in JTI for the markets supported
Participate in process improvements/ modification / testing / process automation
Assist market with various adhoc duties
Assist Team Manager in putting together monthly KPI's
3) Process Improvement
Work with the Team Manager and Expert on process improvement projects
Identify opportunities to improve processes. Work with Team Manager on documenting processes accurately
4) Control and Compliance:
Perform the assigned JSOX / operational controls in accordance with the internal documentation
Escalate all controls failures and ensure mitigation actions are in place for each failure
5) Teamwork:
Handle recurring and ad hoc tasks delegated by Team Manager
Assist and provide support to other GBS teams within the area of responsibility
Take part in local and global projects upon assignment by Team Manager
Propose process improvement in the area of the responsibility
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Business Administration. Professional accounting qualification (e.g. CIMA, ACCA, CPA) is a plus
Minimum 2 years finance experience, preferably doing FP&A in a multinational FMCG company
Experience in a shared service environment preferred, with experience of transitioning activities to a shared service center a plus
Fluency in English
Proficiency in MS Office applications
Knowledge of SAP, BW/BPC/Analysis and TM1 is a plus
Excellent analytical and data mining capabilities
Strong communication and coordination skills
Detail-oriented, organized and self-directed performer
Creative, innovative thinker
Team player with an ability to work in matrix organizations
Willing to work in McKinley, Taguig
