Clear is looking for a Financial Accountant to work remotely (Work-from-Home) with our client, an Australia-based, IT support firm. For over 2 decades, our client is providing innovative IT solutions and support to various businesses, ensuring end-to-end solutions tailored to their client's business goals.
Role and Opportunity
Your new role is to lead the client's Business Services Team and to tackle any job that comes your way whether it be administration of business systems or being accountable for the Accounting functions.
Purpose
As a Financial Accountant, your daily tasks may include:
Time preparation (scheduling) of:
Annual budgets.
Year-end financial accounts and reconciliations for the tax accountant
Month-end close-off and completion of Profit and Loss
Responsibility for payroll, invoicing & supplier payments, reconciliation of accounts and bank, accounts data entry, records keeping, filing and document management, office management
Submission of various tax and other statutory returns including annual salary returns, BAS, PAYG, Superannuation, and monthly payroll tax
Monthly management report detailing:
Key performance indicators
Financial trends
Debtor status
Issues with respect to debt collection
Cash flow issues
Other financial issues
Production of key performance indicators including:
Last month billed and margin by service and product,
Last month's average ticket cost,
Effective rate and gross profit % per team,
Effective rate and gross profit % per individual engineer,
Win opportunities by person and revenue
Agreement hours against the target
Effective hourly rate and gross margin per project
3-month trend analysis of margin by customer and service type
Effective charge rate per customer
Monthly monitoring of performance against budget and prior year
Prepare reports on all significant variances to budget detailing reasons for variance and steps being taken to rectify/further improve on them
Assist the General Manager in the efficient and profitable operation of the Perth operation including:
Accurate and timely preparation and issuing of invoices
Debtor control
Cost control.
Continually consider and where appropriate recommend the introduction of revised procedures to enhance service and product income, control costs and improve efficiency.
Assist the General Manager in determining the direction of the business in Australia
Provide leadership by personal example, fostering a team culture and motivation aimed at maximising both the quality and quantity of work produced by all employees.
Effectively manage and coordinate with your employee's workload to ensure cost-effective, accurate, and timely production of all financial reports and work.
Undertake monthly stock counts and reconciliations.
General administration to support the Client Services and Technical Teams
Perform such further tasks as may be required of you.
Personnel Management
Improve their job knowledge and understand how their positions inter-relate with those of other employees.
Ensure that at least satisfactory levels of acceptable work are produced by employees with respect to each of their functions.
Consistently produce neat, accurate, and thorough work at all times paying extreme attention to detail.

Required Attributes
Highly skilled relationship management skills and exceptional planning and organization skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail
Has a proactive mindset and a mature disposition
Technologically adept with a postpaid internet subscription of at least 50mbps speed
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
Fit to work status upon completion of the pre-employment medical exam with a negative drug test result & a valid NBI Clearance
Essential Experience
A solid 3 years of Australian account experience
Proficient with MS Office applications, highly skilled in Excel and Outlook
At least 3 years of accounting-related experience
A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or any relevant course
Experience in using Xero and ConnectWise Manage is a plus
Having a clear, neutral accent is an advantage
