Qualification:
University degree in Accountancy
Certified Public Accountant
With background in accounting/banking/management of financial institutions or other related areas
Minimum of 5 years' experience gained from an audit firm and preferably with audit experience gained from the banking industry
Experience in the following areas:
Tax Management
Accounting policy management
Financial Reports Management, including those to external regulatory bodies and relevant Head Office departments
Financial Analysis
Job Description:
FINANCIAL REPORTING
Prepares annual financial reports to SEC and BIR, reconciles among Audited Financial Statement (AFS), Financial Reporting Package (FRP) and audited annual report;
Submits of all documents and schedules related to the AFS to BSP, PDIC, SEC and BIR;
Handles the renewal of the contract of external auditors.
TAXATION
Handles tax concerns, tax calculations as well as BIR assessments and timely submission of tax documents.
Handles tax filing and payments
Handles regulatory tax audits
ACCOUNTING AND REGULATORY POLICIES
Prepares and updates accounting policies;
Ensures that the Bank is updated with and guided by the International Financial
Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS); reviews and analyzes the impact the said changes to the business;
Ensures the accounting policies of the Bank are in accordance with the Head Office policies;
Identifies and analyzes the differences on the following: IFRS, PFRS and Head Office requirements;
Understands the regulatory policies and monitors the regulatory ratios and provides advice to management based on the regulatory requirements.
