Job Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION AND SCOPE
Daily/Monthly download or extraction of bank statements, account reconciliation reports/schedules, GL Balances and GL movement
Provide support to operations by confirming validity of collections before OR Issuance
Daily and monthly reconciliation analysis and preparation of comprehensive reconciliation reports of assigned high-risk accounts
Identify issues and potential risks relating to the processes and financial systems to determine if these processes meet the accounts reconciliation objective and recommend resolutions thereof.
Coordinate with different departments of the clearing of items affecting the reconciliation, escalate complex issues to management for prompt resolution, and define action items and timelines when to resolve the issues.
Monitor implementation of the corrective actions in response to the recommended and agreed resolution.
Education Level and Professional Qualification
Minimum
University degree in Accountancy.
Desirable
Preferably, a CPA.
Technical Skills
With basic understanding of the Accounts Reconciliation process
Basic knowledge of GAAP (Canadian, US, Philippines), local tax rules and regulations, and internal control requirements;
Good business sense on asset management practices
With experience and knowledge in several, if not all, general functions within Finance (Cash Management, Banking, Portfolio Management, Financial Reporting, and Financial Analysis, etc.)
Must have strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools;
Leadership Skills
Must possess and exhibit edge, energy, high integrity, results orientation and solution-oriented skills;
Confident team player with strong interpersonal skills who can work across multiple functions to achieve goals;
Must be able to work well under pressure and can manage multiple projects at a time;
Able to present ideas effectively to ensure that requirements for approval are met;
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
