WHAT THIS POSITION IS ABOUT - PURPOSE
You will drive compliance to pertinent laws / regulations pertaining to Occupational Health and Safety / Labor Health Standards. Ensure compliance with Company policies and standards on Global EHS. Develop initiatives leading to continuous improvement in Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) performance.
WHAT WILL YOU DO - RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the market's implementation of Environment, Health, Safety and Security programs.
Assist EHS & Security Managers on EH&S and Security project respectively to support the delivery of the Market's objectives.
Work closely with EHS Manager on the Market's Risk Assessment Process ensuring risks are identified and control measures implemented proactively to reduce risks of accidents and incidents in the sales offices, warehouses including HQ.
Keeps a monitoring or track of program implementation and reports to the as necessary and requested.
Work collaboratively with different departments including Warehouses, Sales offices and HQ and maintenance to ensure workplace safety.
Compile local EH&S related data and provide management reports regarding the safety activities accomplished at the location assigned. Prepare reports for operational management as requested.
Networks with other safety practiotiners to develop/acquire current best approaches in systems implementation.
Coordinate with the Health & Safety Committee of the site in the implementation of health services activities.
Works with contractors' representatives in order for the contractors to set up their own safety program.
Assist with employee incident investigation to uncover root cause and track completion of corrective actions.
Performs adminsitrative activities related to EHS, Security and AIT.
Supports the Team aspects of Safety, Health and Environment matters.
Provides data, support and advice to the Management Team to improve decision making regarding EH&S and to integrate EH&S into business decisions
Assist EHS Manager in establishing and implementation of business-resiliency framework or the Business Continuity Plan to help provide an efficient response to business interruption due to various crisis, disasters and emergencies be it natural hazards or man-induced threats that can affect the employees, the business, and stakeholders.
Assist and implement various tasks and projects as they arise and upon Function Head's request.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR - REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor of Science in Business, or Medical-related courses.
Experience in managing Occupational Health and Safety or Environment Sustainability Programs and Accredited Safety Practitioner is a plus.
With extensive experience in producing Safety and Business Continuity Plan (BCP) reports and familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics.
With experience in writing policies and procedures on Safety and BCP.
Good knowledge of applicable legislation and procedures, Regulatory requirements and Technical Standards
Working knowledge of safety management information system.
Ability to communicate and influence people at all levels of the organization
Competence on EH&S administrative activities for EH&S and Security programs
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Travel and off-hour on-call support is required.
Background in IT and business continuity/risk management is an advantage
