DT Data Science Specialist - Fixed Term Contract
Data Science Specialist will support in the analysis of potential growth opportunities together with effective portfolio and planning of initiatives to ensure timely and effective execution. Qualified Applicant will also be responsible in developing analytics-based solutions that generate quantitative and qualitative business insights.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Data Analysis & Insighting
· Creates insights by executing & using sales figure interpretation models. Analysis is performed based on globally developed data models by data scientists with customization from local data team. Works to the Business Unit Growth Lead and liaises with big data team to optimize existing models.
· Delivers exceptional and recommended leads and findings to Distributive Trade Team and Customer Service Planning Team.
· Assess and recommend more effective channel/category segmentation model across the entire data performance
· Supports Business Unit Growth Team by managing data flows from other platforms to build a more seamless data in sighting for stakeholders
· Develop and refine predictive analytics for business growth like recommended programs, category trend predictions, and fall out account alerts.
Data Visualization & Reporting
· Translates data into BI and delivers advice to Distributive Trade team.
· Manages the dashboards needed to visualize BI to the rest of the department.
Data Management
· Integrate Big Data/CD IT principles into the wider data infrastructure according to the business needs and the chosen strategy
· Is the gatekeeper of data quality and integrity of the Distributor Development Group as required by the business.
QUALIFICATIONS
Significant years of work experience in Business Analytics or related field managing data infrastructures
Advanced knowledge of MS Office, Power BI and general database platforms.
Experience with statistical models/ tools such as SAP and/or digital (CRM) tools
Strong communication skills and capability to be data-thought leader
Passion for data and result-driven
Team player that can work cross functional
·Knowledge of handling sales figures (Volume, Forecasting, Pricing, etc.)
Ability to create reports that are accessible, usable, and highly focused on delivering insights to stakeholders
Amenable for an initial fixed term contract of 1
