Application Support is one of the most critical Information Technology (IT) roles in the bank and is governed and driven by both business and regulatory requirements. This role provides support services to a spectrum of software used within a specific business stream and provides a variety of support disciplines including, incident management, request fulfillment, user administration, database structure documentation, disaster recovery, third party support coordination and stakeholder management.
An Application Support Analyst needs both technical knowledge and "people" skills to collaborate with other team members, infra support teams, third party vendors as well as with business users. This role manages the day-to-day Application support activities, monitors and manages incidents, communicate with senior business stakeholders and provides continuous updates to on-going issues or requests.
Your key responsibilities
Identifying and evaluate Technology Solutions to improve business performance and strategy
Problem solve and troubleshoot escalated issues, by formulating a plan to address the issues and provide identified plan to the team of Application Support Analysts
Ensure that new users of an application whether internal or external to the company, have a smooth onboarding process
Anticipate and address potential issues before they become issues, as well as work with the support team on a daily basis to contribute to their employer's overall IT needs and strategy
Your skills and experience
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or its Business-related equivalents
Relevant experience in IT Service Management, with extensive experience in Incident Management and Problem management and exposure to managing vendor service
Working knowledge of Server SQL Databases and server network configuration, IT Hardware and Operating systems and LAN/WAN/MAN setup and configuration
Able to effectively communicate, and work across teams globally and with management
