Brief Description
Responsible for Annotating data which is a critical ingredient to train models or for evaluating the quality of the different solutions we create. Will be working closely with NLP Specialists, Life Sciences and Healthcare Specialists from teams in Europe and US, to annotate the data (e.g., with biomedical entities) to create training and evaluation sets.
Role and Responsibilities
Annotating the data as per the annotation guidelines
Communicating with other annotators to be consistent with annotation
Semi-automate the annotation tasks where possible
Reporting
Report on gaps in gold standards to help the lead prioritize the work
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Postgraduate or a graduate qualification with equivalent experience in Biological Sciences
PREFFERED SKILLS
Strong knowledge of medications, genes, chemicals and diseases terminologies and ontologies
Basic programming skills with knowledge of a scripting/programming language, preferably Python. SQL, Linux command line (Bash) would be a bonus
Very high attention to detail for managing large, complex annotation efforts
Ability to work to deadlines whilst maintaining quality and attention to detail
Good written communication skills to coordinate with team members
Good verbal and listening skills.
Demonstrate strong understanding of complex concepts and processes
Has initiative and is self-motivated to see through until resolution concerns raised by clients.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Must be a team player and able to work under time constraint.
