We are currently looking for a Data Platform Engineer who has working experience in supporting High-Velocity data analytics and search platform. Part of your responsibility is to enable users of the platform by helping them in abstracting Platform, No-SQL, Operating System and Pipeline issues.

Your Qualifications:
3 - 5 years of experience as Data Analytics and Platform Engineer
At least 5 years' experience on administering Linux Server Operating System.
Minimum of 2 years working in a DevOps environment including solid experience in Build Tools and Processes.
Experienced in distributed versioning systems and artifact management such as GIT, Artifactory with familiarity on best practices and approach.
Experienced in log analysis, monitoring such as Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana or alike technologies.
Experience on administering physical server hardware remote troubleshooting.
Knowledgeable in at least one of the following Data Analytics technologies: Apache Solr, Elastic Search and Acunu
Knowledgeable in at least one of the following technologies: Cassandra, Kafka and/or Redis administration, architecture and design
Knowledgeable in containerization technologies such as Docker, including its architecture, design and operations.
Fluency in shell scripting, such as Bash or Python and Regex.
PLUS POINTS FOR:
Knowledgeable on Build Tools such as Maven and Gradle is an advantage.
Software Development experience (Java, Ruby, or C) is an advantage.
Knowledgeable on Apache Spark is an advantage.
Familiarity with distributed systems is a plus including: the CAP Theorem, Microservices, and the Twelve Factor App
Experience in Hybrid and Multi Cloud implementations is an advantage.
You automate things rather than doing it twice.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work through complex engineering challenges/obstacles
Experience dealing with customer issues and with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Passion for eliminating repetitive manual processes using automation.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related
Your Role and Team:
Be the primary engineering interface to support customer's Data Platform and its end-users' complex problems.
Work confidently and self-directed in a fast-paced environment.
Build tools and develop solutions for challenging and business-critical problems.
Work with a wide range of customers' software and engineering teams to support their workflows in the existing platform.
Write clear and consumable documentation.
Perform root cause analysis. Identify and resolve underlying problem patterns, while driving to develop automated and self-healing solutions.
You'll be embedded in a team of talented engineers both in the company and its customers that are already focusing on development, quality, performance, reliability, infrastructure, security and compliance.
