Our client is a Dangerous Goods Specialist that provides dangerous goods compliance and logistics services. They have offices in Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth. Their services include domestic and international freight, documentation, storage training, software, and consulting.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Monitoring email flow in relation to transport jobs collecting consignment details and proof of delivery information and entering that into the transport management system.
Updating tracking information and service details into the transport management system. This information will come from different sources - email, chat, etc.
Check on consignment tracking on transport company websites and by enquiring via email.
Answering customer emails regarding the status of their shipments.
Check details in the transport management system or by email inquiry to drivers, couriers, etc.
Communicate with clients regarding delivery issues / incorrect addresses / damaged products / returns, etc
Requirements
Excellent written communication skills
Attention to detail and Self-managing
Experience managing deliveries in transport, logistics and distribution - definitely need to understand terminology; be familiar with processes Preference for experience with a Transport Management System.
Experience in working in Australia particularly familiarity with geography.
Customer service experience would be preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft office tools.
