Job Description
Job Objective
The Corporate QSP Specialist is responsible for the development and implementation of governance, strategies, initiatives and programs that will drive sustainable compliance to regulatory requirements and effectiveness of the integrated management systems of the Aboitiz One Food Group (1FG).
Key Duties and Responsibilities
With the guidance of the 1FG Corporate QSP Supervisor, contributes to the development of strategic plans and operational plans for Quality and Food Safety Management System, and develops corresponding tactical plans.
Responsible for the following:
development of our Quality and Food Safety Policies and Standards
development and communication/ deployment of guidelines, governance processes and frameworks, and standardized programs to implement sustainable and effective Quality and Food Safety Management systems across the company.
development of strategies and deployment of programs to establish and continually improve quality awareness, mindset, and culture.
development, deployment, and continual improvement of our Document Management Program
Ensures that the company's processes and systems are aligned with and comply with the standards and requirements of external interested parties (e.g. regulatory bodies, customers)
Engages with the Corporate, Business Unit, Country, and functional management teams to obtain and maintain alignment and support for Quality activities
Continually builds the capability of stakeholders on the Quality and Food Safety Management Systems and/or specific elements relevant to them. Also includes guidance on and/ or provision of supporting mechanisms (e.g. communication and reporting platforms, document management systems, food defense tools, link to information sources)
Provides support and expertise to enable effective implementation and continual improvement of the Quality and Food Safety Management Systems.
Collaborates with relevant functions for the development and deployment of cross-functional governance processes and guidelines.
Collects and analyzes data on the quality performance of the operating units in relation to the implementation of established quality and food safety management systems and processes
Through the Business Unit QSP, monitors the Quality Culture Maturity, Supplier-to-Market Quality process compliance, and the Quality and Food Safety Management Systems implementation of the operating units, and determines improvement opportunities to be used as inputs to the development or enhancement of strategies and initiatives.
Reviews, improves and updates established policies, standards, guidelines, governance process and frameworks, and standardized programs. Ensures that stakeholders are informed of any changes.
Proactively seeks updates on current local and international regulations and potential changes that will impact the business environment. Communicates appropriately to involved or affected parties.
Actively participates in the risk review of the QSP Team (Corporate and BUs)
Supports the QSP Supervisor in serving the role of the Quality Systems & Processes Lead for all Corporate Functions.
Serves as the Document Controller of our Corporate Functions.
Executes internal processes and capability development activities of the QSP team (Corporate & BU) to ensure that their roles and corresponding tasks are performed efficiently and effectively. Also responsible for the quality and food safety capability building of the QSHEP Team.
Qualifications
Education:
Must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Microbiology, or any Science and Technology course
Experience:
At least 2 years in Quality or Food Safety Systems in the Food Manufacturing Industry (supplier quality, manufacturing quality, distribution & marketplace quality)
With significant experience in process and systems design/ development and auditing
Licenses:
Preferred Food Safety Compliance Officer (FSCO) certification is an advantage
Other Requirements:
CRITICAL SKILLS OR COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
Advance knowledge and understanding of Quality/ Food Safety Management, or Quality, Halal, and/ or Food Safety Management Systems (incl. GMP, GWP, HACCP and other food safety prerequisite in programmes)
Above average skills in process development and re-engineering
Advance skills in process/ systems auditing
Proficient in Google Applications and/or Microsoft Office programs.
