The Identity and Verification Specialist verifies the authenticity and compliance of physical identity documents such as a driver's license, passport, or other national-issued identity document through documentary verification. They ensure that each document submitted meets Uber's guidelines in order for them to use the app.
What the Candidate Will Do
Review different identity documents meticulously to ensure compliance in Uber guidelines
Proactively consolidate and provide insights to the business to help in preventing future fraud and compliance risks.
Look for opportunities to improve the way our Identity and Verification teams handle escalations to achieve customer experience, risk mitigation, quality, consistency, and efficiency
Help in improving processes and never shy away if you have to build a new process. We always optimize for a better customer experience
Take ownership of escalated and other ad hoc cases across our different lines of business
What the Candidate Will Need
Basic Qualifications
1+ years of total work experience in a high-growth, productive constantly changing environmentWork experience in high energy, high pressure, productive environment
Excellence in both written and spoken English with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate ideas to varied audiences
Customer-focused and has a deep understanding of the user experience and the ability to resolve critical incidents in an empathetic and customer-centric way
Investigative and truth-seeking mindset, adopting a curious and analytical mindset to find facts and full understanding of the situation
Exceptional eye for detail, carefully checking everything, knowing that even a small error could lead to potential risk
Critical thinking to analyze and evaluate issues to form an unbiased and reasonable judgment that is logical and well thought out based on available information
Excellent problem-solving skills, able to identify, define problems, and generate or recommend solutions that are appropriate and effective
Willingness to work in a team environment, contributing to a collaborative work environment where people learn from one another and continuously improve processes on behalf of users
