CHIEF OF STAFF
 
Job Summary
 
The Chief of Staff (CoS) serves as the strategic right hand of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). This role exists to amplify the CEO's effectiveness by ensuring clarity of vision, disciplined execution, strong communication, and consistent follow-through across the organization. The CoS supports the CEO by managing priorities, driving alignment, and ensuring that the Office of the CEO operates at the highest level of performance.
Key Responsibilities
 
1. Communicate and Drive the CEO's Vision
Translate the CEO's goals, priorities, and strategic direction into clear, actionable plans for leaders and teams.
Ensure the CEO's intent is accurately understood and consistently executed across the organization.
Act as a bridge between the CEO and senior management to maintain alignment.
2. Facilitate Meetings and Follow-Ups
Plan, structure, and facilitate meetings led by the CEO to ensure they are focused, efficient, and outcome-driven.
Track decisions, action items, and commitments, and ensure timely follow-up and accountability.
Prepare briefing materials, agendas, and summaries for the CEO.
3. Maximize the CEO's Effectiveness
Manage and protect the CEO's time, attention, and energy by prioritizing what truly matters.
Filter, organize, and elevate issues that require the CEO's involvement.
Anticipate challenges and proactively provide solutions or options.
4. Support One Leader - the CEO
Serve as the dedicated strategic partner to the CEO, not as a general executive assistant.
Act as a sounding board, advisor, and execution partner for key decisions and initiatives.
Represent the CEO in meetings or discussions when delegated.
5. Measure and Improve the CEO's Performance
Help define performance metrics for the CEO aligned with organizational goals.
Monitor progress against objectives and highlight gaps, risks, and opportunities.
Provide data-driven feedback and insights to continuously improve the CEO's impact.
6. Manage the Office of the CEO
Oversee workflows, communications, and coordination within the Office of the CEO.
Ensure all matters coming into or going out of the CEO's office are handled with accuracy, urgency, and professionalism.
Maintain confidentiality, discretion, and high standards of execution.
