Your Role and Responsibilities
Collaborative networkers who execute, operate, progress and close large and strategic sales for GBS growth
Deal Makers are responsible for driving and increasing the volume, scale, and profitability of transformational propositions through deal progression
and closure within our strategic value pools: Business Transformation (BTS) and Hybrid Cloud (HCS). They work with C-suite-level clients to progress
and close large, strategic sales engagements, including the IBM value proposition, a winning solution and commercial proposal, and financial business
case. Deal Makers leverage best practices, competitive strategies and their networks to drive maximum deal conversion.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Client Priorities
Progress, negotiate and close large, strategic deals within
our focus accounts and and assist in selected new client
acquisition through building senior client relationship and
managing strategic sales pursuits
Manage the client relationship by acting as an interface
between clients and IBM
Demonstrate a clear understanding of a client's business,
organization, culture, and business goals
Possess a deep understanding of the client's agenda,
industry trends and stakeholder needs
Understand the client's business case and develop a
compelling proposition and commercial offer
Business Priorities
Own solutions and commercial proposals and be
responsible for progressing deals, to drive revenue growth
and GBS market share
Leverage differentiating end-to-end propositions of
Business Transformation (BTS) and Hybrid Cloud (HCS) to
shape winning solutions and pricing
Collaborate with wider IBM and ISV business momentum
and leverage alliance partners and ISVs for GBS growth
Ensure IBM proposals are aligned with client expectations
in terms of solutions, pricing, and contract
Facilitate senior stakeholder management to gain buy-in to
and closure of larger deals
People Priorities
Possess strong and influential leadership skills and closely
align with senior leadership to build a quality network
among global markets, technology, industry leadership
and alliance partners
Manage large, diverse sales engagement teams, including
other brands and ISV partners
Be commercially astute and exhibit exceptional business
insight
Empower and coach direct team members and/or other
deal teams
Demonstrate strong negotiation skills and the ability to
persuade and influence others
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
15 years and above extensive experience on the said expertise
