Summary:
This position will be responsible for monitoring and managing Sanctioned Party Screening ("SPL") using SAP/GTS. The goal is to readily identify and stop any Hershey transaction that may involve a party on a watch list maintained by multiple U.S. government and international agencies. SPL is crucial in ensuring Hershey complies with government laws that prohibits dealing with parties (individual and organization ) which are sanctioned by government agencies.
The SPL Export Administrator will play an important role in supporting the Hershey's Global Trade & Legal business units in ensuring compliance with applicable Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and other agencies laws and regulations pertaining to export controls. This role requires an individual with strong analytical skills in investigating SAP/GTS SPL blocks in order to ensure strict compliance.
To avoid business interuption, this role must monitor SAP/GTS SPL cockpit continously and work expeditiously to resolve any blocks so that any false-positive hits can be released for fullfilment.
Additionally, this role will support with submission and management of ocean bookings. Success in this role requires someone who has strong customer service skills and works with a sense of urgency. The key metric in service delivery is "On-time Delivery").
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
SAP/GTS Sanctioned Party Screening
Proactively screen and clear any blocks from Business Partners in SAP/GTS to reduce blocks downstream during orders processing
Review SAP/GTS worklist daily on an on-going basis and resolve blocks expeditiously
Investigate denied parties and sanctions potential matches (positive hits") that are flagged by Hershey's SAP/GTS screening software
Investigate complex blocks through OFAC website
Escalate complex blocks that remain unresolved to Global Trade COE
Maintain "trusted-trader" lists in SAP/GTS; such lists would be identified and communicated by Global Trade COE
Communicate proactively with Hershey buyers and other interested parties to advise status of blocked orders to avoid business disruption
Report to Global Trade Compliance manager about issues that may involve rule violations or potential liability to the company
Promptly report any system anomalies and/or failure to Global Trade Compliance manager
SPL screening of Hershey subsidiaries not on SAP using MK-Denial platform (Hershey India and Hershey Do Brazil)
Drive operational metrics
Assist with onboarding, training and mentoring new hires
Assist in identifying gaps and training opportunities for escalations that come through the SAP/GTS compliance workflows
Ocean Bookings
Submit booking requests to ocean carriers, adhering to customer's desired delivery dates
Monitor bookings and escalate to Ocean Export manager if bookings are not received within agreed
/KPI * Manage booking milestones per the dock receipt key dates
Manage the order to ensure readiness before delivery note dropping; this includes, but is not limited to ensuring product availability, credit hold resolution, correct incoterms etc.
Drop delivery note seven days prior to transportation planning date (drayage planning)
Ensure a robust protocol is in place to communicate any deviation to the Global COE team managing drayage to avoid planning transportation if shipping cannot be executed, e.g. product not being available timely - this avoids dry runs by drayage carrier which is costly
Maintain report and monitoring file to proactively communicate booking status and next steps to GBS and Supply Chain.
Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform major duties/responsibilities:
Experience working in a cross-functional environment
Attention to detail, and demonstrated ability of thorough analysis
Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven office environment
Critical-thinking, flexibility, and problem-solving skills to adapt to ever-changing tasks
Experience with SAP or other ERP systems; familiarity with SAP's GTS module is a plus
Knowledge of import/export operations in different countries is a plus
Experience working with multinational companies is desirable
Interpersonal communication skills, relationship management and collaboration skills

Effective time management/prioritization skills
Strong oral and written communications skills
Due to global scope, flexibility in working hours may be required
Experience with Microsoft Office
Education/Experience:
BS/BA in Export Management, Logistics, International Trade, or equivalent experience required.
Minimum 3 year's work experience in a customer facing role managing Export Administration, Ocean Booking, Order Management, or related field.
Must have strong knowledge and experience in Export Management. Preferably shipment from US to AEMEA markets.
Must have experience in Order Fulfillment and Ocean Bookings.
Strong preference is given to candidates with experience working for/with third party logistics companies
Must have experience in closely collaborating with different cross functional teams to ensure on time and in full delivery of goods.
Must have strong exposure/understanding of Stocks Availability and Shelf Life management.
Must have very strong verbal and written English Communication skills. Has the ability to lead high level fruitful discussions with internal and external stakeholders related to Export Administration
Very strong preference given to candidates with experience in SAP
Very strong preference given to candidates with strong project management experience.
MUST BE WILLING TO WORK ON A NIGHT SHIFT (8PM - 5AM). Please note that Hershey employees are still in a WFH currently and may change to a hybrid set-up (1 - 2x reporting to office) by Q1/2 of next year.
