About the Role
We are seeking a disciplined and technically strong System Administrator to support our infrastructure operations. This role suits someone reliable, proactive, and confident managing systems independently in a remote environment.
You will maintain servers, VPNs, backups, virtual machines, and website hosting infrastructure while ensuring system security, uptime, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and maintain Linux-based servers
Configure and support VPN environments
Oversee backup systems and disaster recovery processes
Deploy and manage virtual machines
Monitor system performance and security
Maintain and support website hosting environments
Troubleshoot infrastructure and network issues
Maintain proper technical documentation
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (required)
2-3 years proven experience as a System Administrator
Strong hands-on experience with Linux systems
Experience managing servers, VPNs, and backup systems
Knowledge of virtualization platforms
Website/server hosting experience
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies
Excellent spoken and written English (near-native level required)
Highly reliable, disciplined, and professional
Work From Home Requirements (Strictly Enforced)
Reliable high-speed internet connection
Stable electricity supply
Backup power solution
Backup internet connection preferred
Quiet and dedicated home office setup
Availability Requirement
Although this is a 4-hour-per-day role, the successful candidate must remain reachable and flexible for urgent or emergency technical issues.
Any time worked outside regular hours will be offset against future scheduled working hours.
