About the Role
The Associate Supply Chain Specialist ensures the performance of a supply chain from order to shipment up to billing.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Handles all purchases and the procurement process efficiently; communicates with principal suppliers as to the discrepancy of orders until fully resolved; ensures all necessary documents are provided and make sure of the timely arrival of the goods.
Handles all importation process from pre-alerts, coordination with customs brokers & forwarders, up to goods arrival at GPP warehouse.
Monitors necessary customs clearances for all importations including the review, confirmation and approval of duties and taxes.
Updates Monitoring Report for all Incoming Orders (local and import purchases).
Responsible in proper documentation (Checklists) of Incoming orders (local and import purchases) in coordination with warehouse and logistics.
Responsible in counterchecking and coordination with brokers/forwarders/vendors as to the accuracy of invoices/billings before submitting to Finance for payment purposes.
Responsible in proper Record Keeping of Importation documents for customs audit purposes.
Prepares the necessary documents and coordinates with service providers for the Yearly Renewals of Import/Export Accreditation and other related licenses.
To perform any other job-related instructions and/or duties requested by superior to ensure workload coverage.
Can work under minimum supervision and able to cope up with pressures and deadlines.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of bachelor's degree in Customs and/or Business Administration or any related course (Licensed Customs Broker is an advantage)
At least 2-3 years' working experience in areas such as customer service, purchasing, logistics, operations, and supply chain management.
Experience working in the same industry particularly in global/multinational companies.
Experience in dealing with principal suppliers (local & international)
Knowledgeable in computation of Duties & Taxes and/or Tariff Classifications.
Knowledgeable in SAP (MM/SD).
Strong communication skills to collaborate with colleagues and do business with suppliers and customers.
Must have a solid customer service background and be able to get along with people from all walks of life.
Strong computer competency with word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
Must be able to function effectively in complex work environment, set appropriate priorities and deal effectively with numerous simultaneous requirements.
