The resource is responsible for effectively and efficiently managing the development and distribution of a variety of real-time communications in a time-sensitive environment. You will be responsible for providing strategic communications counsel, writing and editing, securing approvals from our review panels and coordinating design and production. Communications may include updates to policies and procedures, system and process changes/updates, new program launches, and so much more. But wait, here is where your creativity comes into play. We'd like your collaboration on training scripts and project position statements, so strong writing, grammar and editing skills are a must.
The specialist must be able to express themselves well and will be expected to actively participate on various work groups and committees throughout the organization to ensure that issues/programs affecting production are communicated effectively via the appropriate communications channels. You must be adept in communications planning and implementation and have experience juggling multiple priorities while handling time-sensitive requests. This individual will also provide input that offers value to projects being handled by fellow members of the communications team. Generally, work is self-directed and not prescribed.
Primary Responsibilities:
Creation, implementation and management of communications plans
Writing / editing / proofreading a variety of communications to ensure adherence to quality standards and AP style guide of writing
Collaborating and offering expert communications counsel to stakeholders
Work directly with client for heavy content changes
Keep a finger on the pulse of the project and proactively notify stakeholders when work is delayed
Obtaining appropriate approvals for distribution
Work with complex issues
Consistently look for greater process efficiencies and take new ideas from concept to reality
Serve as a resource to others
Adhere to Communications Policies and Protocols
Store communications in appropriate shared sites
Maintain the Communications Mailbox, KnowledgeNow, various SharePoint sites, etc.

Required Qualifications:
1+ years of marketing, editing or copywriting experience
Experience working across multiple regions / states for a large organization
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Intermediate proficiency with MS Excel (sorting, filtering, create and edit spreadsheets), Word (use of tables), PowerPoint (create and edit) and Outlook (calendaring and email)
Ability to work in a fast-paced, virtual environment
Ability to work from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm CST, Monday - Friday with weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree
