ASSOCIATE ARCHITECT
 
Job Description
 
The Associate Architect shall be responsible for handling various projects and reports about the progress of the project to the Design Head. He (she) shall be actively involved in the project planning phase, from its inception until its execution.
 
During the whole planning process, the associate architect has to meet and communicate with the allied professionals, his (her) counterparts in the company (e.g. Project Development Group, Sales, Marketing, etc.), consultants, and the like. He is expected to keep track of all the activities related to technical planning.
 
Primary Tasks
Master planning. Prepare and develop a comprehensive master plan (at conceptual and schematic phases) for new projects (e.g. estate master plan, subdivision plan, land use plan, etc.), area tabulation, and the like.
Attend/organize coordination meetings. Coordinate with any counterparts in the Project Team (eg PDD, SMD, CMD, PMD, etc), and in case of a consultancy-based project, coordinate with any third-party consultants engaged for a project.
Plan preparation and review. Prepare and/or review detailed architectural and engineering plans, designs and technical specifications either done in-house or thru consultants (e.g. house plans, interior design and fit-out plans, auxiliary structures)
Monitor project status (and reporting). Prepare presentation materials on and present the consolidated project update based on the status and progress of the project (planning and/or execution).
Secondary Tasks
Procure blueprints of plans.
Assist in preparation of Permit Forms.(e.g. Building Permit, Development Permit, and the like)
Site Visits and Inspection. Prior to commencement of master planning and conceptual planning phase, conducts ocular site visit to investigate the existing site conditions and gather data necessary for planning
Personal Skill-Set
Satisfactory proficiency in the following:
Auto-Cad (or Civil 3d)
Sketchup
3d Rendering and Animation softwares (Lumion, 3DMax, etc.)
Photoshop
MS Office softwares (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
Good critical thinking and analytical skills
Excellent communication skills (able to convey idea clearly and convincingly)
Goal-oriented and reliable
Education | Profession
Registered and Licensed Architect
Preference
2 years of experience in spatial planning and design
Skills in freehand drawing and plan sketching
Good conflict-management and decision-making skills
