Job Purpose:
The Assistant Manager for Compensation & Benefits is responsible in designing, overseeing and implementing compensation and benefits programs of Manila Polo Club.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Monitors prevailing pay rates in the industry, market conditions, and government regulations to ensure that the Club's gives competitive compensation plans;
2. Designs, implements, and manages the total compensation packages and benefit programs for non-bargaining employees. Ensures compensation package and benefit programs for bargaining employees complies with the current Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA);
3. Conducts analysis of compensation and benefits within the club and ensures that such complies to all applicable government regulations and in accordance to the current Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA);
4. Designs, implements, and manages the annual compensation review process including merit matrix creation and performance and wage review process;
5. Coordinates with third-party services to negotiate benefit plans and resolve benefit-related issues;
6. Prepares matrix and provides recommendation to the HR manager relative to the annual renewal of Medical Plan, Insurance Plan and Clinic Management;
7. Monitors retainer's fee for APE/ECU;
8. Updates and maintains master list of employees for medical plan and insurance plan, monitors medical utilization and prepares monthly journal voucher;
9. Assists or represent the Human Resource Department, relative to compensation and benefits, during union negotiations. Analyzes labor-related cost of CBA proposals and recommends scheme or design to implement the most economical and strategic solutions;
10. Administers both government mandated and company initiated benefits. Likewise, ensures that all benefits administered are consistent to their corresponding status and level;
11. Ensures timely and accurate processing timekeeping (attendance) for all staff and managers based on agreed schedules of the service provider; and
12. Performs related tasks as may be assigned by immediate superior.
Qualification Requirements:
1. Graduate of Behavioral Science, Business Administration, Human Resource Management courses or its equivalent.
2. With at least three (3) years of experience in compensation and benefits;
3. Proficient personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Human Resource Information System (HRIS) experience preferred.
4. Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
5. Ability to complete work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
6. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, to prioritize and work in a multi-tasked environment.
7. With experience in an organized (union) firm is an advantage.
