We are looking for you, come join the journey with opswerks! Key Qualifications: Good development experience in Big Data systems, pipelines, and data processing. Experience in programming languages preferably in Scala, Java, or Python Knowledge of cluster managers like Docker, Spark, Yarn, Mesos, or Kubernetes. Experience working on or building connectors from Spark to data sources like AWS S3, HDFS, Cassandra, or Object Storage. Experience in data processing using technologies like Spark Streaming, Spark SQL, MLlib, GraphX, or Map/Reduce. Big data query tool like Hive, Spark, Presto knowledge of data formats like Parquet, Avro, or ORC internals. Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms. Experience working on projects with cross-functional teams. Jenkins, Git, Gradle, Ansible, Chef, Teamcity: You know the challenges of building software and find ways to build and deploy easier Splunk, Prometheus, Nagios: Tuning monitoring just right is imperative to knowing issues before users complain 2+ yrs of experience with Linux Strong knowledge of Continuous integration and deployment Experience with git branching strategies and best practices You automate things rather than doing it twice Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Experience dealing with customer issues and with excellent verbal and written communication skills Bachelor s degree or higher education In this role, you will: Customer Success: Be the primary engineering interface to support customer s deployment Platform and its end-users complex problems Work confidently and self-directed in a fast-paced environment Build tools/develop solutions for challenging and business-critical problems Work with a wide range of customers software and engineering teams to support their workflows in the existing platform Write clear and consumable documentation Perform root cause analysis, identify and resolve underlying problem patterns, while driving to develop automated and self-healing solutions You ll be embedded in a team of talented engineers both at Opswerks and its customers that are already focusing on development, quality, performance, reliability, infrastructure, security, and compliance.
