AMAZON & WALMART ADVERTISING SPECIALIST (REMOTE)
 
Overview
 
We are seeking a detail-oriented and performance-driven Amazon & Walmart Advertising Specialist to manage, optimize, and scale our paid media efforts across both marketplaces for our clients. This role is responsible for driving profitable growth through strategic campaign execution, data analysis, and continuous testing.
 
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Amazon Ads and Walmart Connect - or demonstrates strong aptitude and willingness to quickly learn new platforms, including Trellis.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
Campaign Strategy & Execution
Build, launch, and manage PPC campaigns across Amazon Ads and Walmart Connect (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, etc.)
Develop full-funnel advertising strategies aligned with product launches, seasonal initiatives, and revenue goals.
Structure campaigns for scalability, profitability, and performance clarity.
Optimization & Performance Management
Conduct ongoing keyword research, bid optimization, and search term mining.
Continuously test creative, targeting, and bidding strategies.
Monitor KPIs including ACOS, ROAS, CTR, CVR, TACOS, and contribution margin.
Identify waste, inefficiencies, and growth opportunities.
Reporting & Analysis
Own regular reporting and insights for Amazon and Walmart performance.
Translate data into clear recommendations and action plans.
Use Trellis (or learn Trellis rapidly) to automate, scale, and enhance performance analysis and optimization.
Send reports to clients and copy the Account Executive on said reports.
Tooling & Platform Mastery
Become proficient in Trellis and other relevant ad tech tools.
Stay current on Amazon and Walmart ad platform changes and best practices.
Evaluate and implement new features, betas, and capabilities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work with the client and operations teams to align ads with product positioning and inventory.
Ability to occasionally join calls with the client and the account executive to go over ad performance, clearly communicate the overview, and next steps.
Respond to emails from clients regarding advertising.
Required Qualifications
Experience managing paid media on Amazon, Walmart, or similar eCommerce marketplaces or strong foundational paid search/paid media background with the ability to ramp quickly.
Strong analytical mindset with comfort working in spreadsheets and dashboards.
Understanding of core advertising metrics and how they connect to business outcomes.
Ability to learn new software quickly (including Trellis).
Strong attention to detail and organization.
Clear communicator, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
Direct experience with Amazon Ads, Walmart Connect, or similar retail media platforms.
Familiarity with tools like Trellis, Pacvue, Helium 10, Jungle Scout, or similar.
Experience managing large catalogs or high-SKU environments.
Knowledge of retail math, contribution margin, and inventory constraints.
SQL, Python, or advanced Excel/Sheets skills (nice-to-have).
