What does success look like?
The Amazon SEO Specialist is primarily responsible for creating high-converting and high-ranking product listings. You are responsible for researching, analyzing, selecting, and sourcing new products for Hadley Designs. You constantly monitor competitors and the new products they release, as well as look at the overall market and identify potential new products to sell. You perform keyword research for each new product, you understand which keywords should be the focus and where they should be placed in the product copy. evaluate the competition regularly, coordinate advertising campaign strategies, monitor advertising performance, perform ongoing keyword research for SEO, and establish growth strategies for their product portfolios.
You manage and lead all Amazon PPC ad campaigns with an overall TACOS less than 17.5%. You provide recommendations and execute strategies for keyword harvesting opportunities, campaign structuring, targeting, and display network.
You approach our business with a CEO mindset - develop a business plan and budget for each product portfolio you manage with the aim of increasing sales volume and contribution margins. You implement a data-driven approach to evaluate, adjust and maximize the success of each of your product listings on Amazon.
You manage and lead product optimization efforts to increase the organic ranking of products and increase the profitability of products. You conduct experiments such as increasing prices, decreasing prices, adding coupons, changing main images, changing titles, etc to help increase organic ranking, CTR, CVR & ultimately profits.
You have a never ending desire to stay up-to-date with the latest changes and updates to the Amazon advertising platform, & Amazon ranking algorithm to ensure the product categories that you manage are using the latest best practices and approaches.
Primary Objectives 20% BIG ROCKS - These must be done first and at all costs.
Research new product ideas & present the best product ideas for approval
Research the most profitable keywords your product should rank for, including long-tail keywords that our competition hasn't found.
Analyze Amazon data (keyword ranking, sales, conversion rate, sessions, etc.) to determine why certain products are trending up or down and develop strategies to quickly spot and fix low margin and low growth products
Create business plans outlining all strategic opportunities for your product portfolio, associated costs, timelines, and resources required to achieve a successful outcome.
Utilize data to assess facets of the product and determine if there is room for optimization and increased profit margin.
Regular Work Activities 80% - These must be done ongoing daily/weekly after the BIG ROCKS are complete.
Brainstorm new product ideas and perform prelim analysis
Evaluate and prioritize product ideas
Perform DPR analysis
Create titles for new products and research product copy/information that should be on the product itself
Create shop, semi-shop, browse-specific, & browse keyword lists
Create focus and master keyword list
Compile daily, weekly, monthly, and lifetime reports with key performance metrics to quantify results and communicate findings and insights to management.
Coordinate with our supply chain team to ensure products are always in stock, premium quality, have updated packaging, and have all appropriate required certifications.
Perform daily advertising optimization techniques, including but not limited to, bid adjustments, negative keywords, keyword additions, and structural changes.
Work with team members to create and run new experiments
Stay up-to-date with Amazon PPC & Ranking developments, trends, techniques, tools, and best practices.
Monitor competitors and evaluate new strategies they are implementing
Monitor competitors and identify new products they have released.
Prepare advertising schedules and timelines for seasonal product spikes
Identify new competitors and activate PPC campaigns to make it harder for them to succeed.
