Monitoring of incoming shipments through Pegasus and airlines and informing client of the status of the shipment
Check and answer e-mail regarding shipments and other queries and "copying in" supervisor for easy monitoring
Received pre-alert (through Pegasus and e-mail) of shipment from network or client
Obtain pre -alert from Customer/counterpart where possible to avoid delay upon Customs Clearance
Answer telephone queries regarding status of shipments and indorse AWB and other documents necessary for releasing of the shipments
Receive and sort documents of customers according to priority
Reserve or request cheque to be raised to other forwarders
Lodge other forwarders / e-manifesting
Ensure that delivery bookings have been allocated to all consignments
Coordinate delivery to the customs representative and trucker
Update "TARRA and GDELA events in Pegasus if shipment arrived and delivered
Ensure that any relevant notes are shown on the job reference
Update the Job reference with relevant Duty / Vat amounts
Prepare invoice and billing by using Pegasus
Forward Job file documents, including draft invoice and billing to immediate supervisor for counter checking
Forward Job File documents, including final invoice and billing to Ops Manager for final approval
Turn-over and log the approved billing and invoice to the Accounting Dept. for segregation and dispatch
Filing and safe keeping of JOB File and other necessary documents for future reference
Comply with company requirements related to QHSE.
Must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Customs Admin, Airline Operation/Airport Management, Logistic/Transportation or equivalent
Has a minimum of three (3) years working experience on a Freight Forwarding / Logistics business
Knowledgeable in Customs Procedure
Knowledgeable in Air Cargo Freight Forwarding
Knowledgeable in MS Office Applications
Knowledgeable in Air Cargo Tracking
Must be able to work under pressure
Must have keen eye for details
Knowledge in Electronic Submission of Manifest is an advantage
