JOB PURPOSE
The A&T Supervisor assists the Manager/Head of A&T in onboarding new clients for Accounting & Tax. This person will be working closely with the client in understanding the operations, getting all the information needed for the team to perform the scope of work, set-up chart of accounts in chosen accounting software, prepare accounting manual, policies, and accounting calendar, draft the MRP templates/tax returns/etc.
Apart from implementation/onboarding, the A&T Supervisor will also handle accounts and will be in charge of daily deliverables to provide excellent service to clients. They provide financial information to management by researching and analysing accounting data; preparing reports, submitting the reports to the client and are able to coach senior staff in the department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees implementation/onboarding of new clients
Handles smooth turnover of new accounts to eventual engagement team members after 2-3 months from onboarding
Manages a portfolio of clients for accounting & corporate tax (markets: new and complex clients)
Maintains relationship with daily client contacts and their direct supervisors;
Reviews deliverables to clients;
Reviews financial fluctuation analysis for key clients;
Liaises with auditors of clients;
Performs as authorized signatory for payment instruction;
Analyzes customer specific demands and provides value-added solutions;
Supervises and coaches accounting officers;
Allocates engagements to team members based on their experience and competence;
Implements internal control procedures and trains team members;
Monitors productivity within the team and drives continuous improvement;
Monitor and control the billing, debt recovery and credit control actions in the department;
Assists Manager in business development;
Prepares proposals for new/existing clients;
Identify opportunities for cross-selling of TMF services;
Responsible for preparing/reviewing invoices and collections;
Works with HR on recruitment activities, performance review and employee relations matters;
Attends seminars for networking and development purposes;
Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
Degree Holder in Accountancy or business related disciplines;
Professional qualification holder an advantage;
Minimum 5 - 6 years relevant experience in CPA firms or multinational companies;
Sound knowledge of international accounting and banking practices;
Good command of written and spoken English;
Pursuing or qualified in Local professional examinations an advantage.
