Position OverviewThe Accounting and Financial Analysis Specialist is a pivotal role within our organization, managing, optimizing, and establishing the financial operations of One Bed, our US-based e-commerce brand, and Taskparent, our startup staffing agency. The successful candidate will manage day-to-day accounting functions, conduct detailed financial analysis, and provide actionable insights that support both business units. This role also involves close collaboration with remote teams, ensuring smooth financial operations across different geographies and time zones.About the Companies

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Analysis & Reporting
Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and maintain budgets and financial forecasts; provide variance analysis and recommendations for corrective actions.
Financial Reports and Analysis: Create, automate and improve comprehensive financial reports across functions to support strategic decision-making
Recommendations: Deliver scheduled comprehensive updates and strategic recommendations based on financial records and analytical reports to ensure organizational financial hygiene, maximize profitability, and meet business objectives.
Accounting Operations
General Ledger Management: Oversee daily accounting functions, including general ledger entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
Transaction Processing: Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accuracy and timely processing of transactions.
Compliance & Auditing: Coordinate with external auditors and tax professionals to ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
Startup Staffing Agency: Establish financial books, reports, and analysis systems while collaborating with management in financial planning for the startup staffing agency, including financial modeling, cost analysis, and cash flow management.
Collaboration & Support
Remote Team Coordination: Work closely with remote teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of financial tasks.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with other departments (e.g., operations, supply chain, HR, marketing) to provide financial insights and support business initiatives.
Flexibility: Accept, recommend, and optimize additional tasks and responsibilities to meet business objectives.
Process Improvement
Systems & Tools: Utilize and, when necessary, enhance accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, ERP platforms) and Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets for efficient data analysis and reporting.
Workflow Optimization: Identify, document, and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in financial operations.
Education: Stay educated (such as podcasts, industry publications, online media, social media) on industry trends to share, discuss, and implement.
Minimum RequirementsEducation & Certification:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
Certified Public Accountant (CPA), PRC Board Passer
Experience:
3+ years in accounting, financial analysis, AR/AP, month-end reconciliation
3+ years creating financial reports
2+ years of handling or working with e-commerce digital businesses or e-commerce clients
Up-to-date with current AI-driven or enabled technologies that are relevant to day-to-day tasks as an accountant or financial analyst (ChatGPT, Claude, Google Gemini, N8N), and has achieved at least a moderate level of proficiency in applying these for personal and/or professional use.
Skills & Expertise:
Strong knowledge of US GAAP
Proficiency in financial data interpretation and reporting
Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel
Familiarity with cloud-based ERP systems and financial modeling tools
Excellent English communication skills (minimum C1 EFSET level)
Strong time management, multitasking, and attention to detail
Above entry-level or moderate proficiency in using AI-driven or enabled technologies such as ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Claude, or N8N that can be demonstrated for personal or professional application.
Technical Requirements:
Personal desktop or laptop with Intel i5 or AMD Ryzen 5, or other equivalent processors, 8GB RAM
Reliable residential internet connection (50 Mbps minimum)
Webcam and microphone-ready headset
Must be able to work full-time: 40 hours/week (8 hours/day, 5 days/week)
Willingness to take on additional tasks as needed by leadership
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with remote teams. Candidate should have a score of at least C1 Proficient User rating. Familiarity with project management tools like ClickUp and Slack
Comfortable managing cross-time zone tasks (Pacific Time & PH)
Prior exposure to remote work, cross-cultural teams, and staffing agencies
Experience with Shopify, Gorgias, Slack, and other remote tools preferred
Strong interpersonal skills, calm under pressure, proactive mindset
Self-starter with minimal supervision needed

Compensation and Benefits
Competitive monthly retainer compensation ranging from US$ 1,100 to US$ 1,500, depending on experience and qualifications
