The Access Control Specialist will be responsible for executing user access provisioning and de-provisioning activities. They will provide first level support to clients for access related issues as well as an escalation point for the Service Desk. Responsibilities will also include the promotion and enforcement of logical access controls and security standards in accordance with the Logical Access Security Directive. Other duties include providing security guidance on user access and helping to identify opportunities for improvement to current processes.

2+ years as Access Control Administrator in Sunlife or 3+ years equivalent elsewhere
Familiarity with computing platforms, operating systems and databases
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to work in a demanding environment by prioritizing tasks and escalating/communicating issues as required
Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues
Ability to seek assistance to overcome obstacles
Strong problem solving and decision making skills

Providing user administration and access provisioning * Providing first level support on access related queries (via Departmental Mailboxes)
Acting as an escalation point for the Service Desk and clients
Developing and maintaining Identity Management procedure and documents
Ensuring compliance with established SLAs
Providing SLA compliance reports and metrics
Enforcing standards from the Logical Access Security Directive as it applies to user and logical access
Troubleshooting and resolving access related issues
Completing Quality Control requirements
