Overview
A position has opened up for an experienced WordPress developer with a leading Australian Digital Marketing Consultancy. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will be reporting to the owner based in Australia and Lead Developer based in the Philippines for a suite of Australian and International clients. This is permanent & 100% remote so you will not be required to work in an office.
Communication
Communication will mostly be based on Skype or Zoom. You will be experienced with other virtual tools like Jira, Dropbox, and G-suit.
Technical Skills
Minimum 3-5 years of experience working with WordPress.
An understanding of Design Patterns and good design principles
Shopify experience will be considered a major advantage
Proven experience working with larger sites and mass product uploads
Highly proficient front end development skills to match and implement a new design from PSD templates.
Experience with Zend Framework, CSS, HTML, Open Source tools, and frameworks
Strong experience in developing world-class User Interfaces using HTML, CSS & JavaScript (AJAX, JSON)
Magento experience is highly desirable
A strong understanding of technical SEO is desirable
Must be familiar with Jira, GSuite, Dropbox, and other cloud-based operational tools.
Personal Skills
Ability to work under pressure, achieve deadlines and effectively prioritise multiple, concurrent tasks
Great attitude and strong work ethic
Candidate must be highly conscientious and have an excellent eye for detail
Must be a team player and have the ability to explain complex technical issues to colleagues
Advanced written English language skills are essential and conversational business English is preferred.
Able to liaise with stakeholders, understand a business brief, and design technical specs.
Work with User Interface designers to implement usable interfaces
Computer Science degree or similar level of tertiary education.
