WATER NETWORK ENGINEER
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Monitors, analyzes and evaluates all alarms from field sensors like GPs, DMs, PMPs, and PRVs.
2. Troubleshoots alarms or equipment malfunctions by interpreting events, analyzing problems and determining appropriate corrective actions to report to concern officer.
3. Controls valves, pumping stations and motors through Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA).
4. Monitors, analyzes, and records hourly operations and status of Production Treatment Plants, Pumping Stations, Reservoirs and Dam Elevations.
5. Reports to immediate officer any network adjustments, interruptions, change in operations and productions that result to a glaring negative and positive variance to Business Areas water supply.
6. Monitors interruption schedules and forward updates to all concerned units.
7. Prepares Daily Operational Reports (DOR) used by concerned units.
8. Updates internal records for efficient data transfer between shifts.
9. Provides the data requested by the internal customers.
10. Issues job orders to field personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM EDUCATION
Graduate of any engineering course preferably in civil or mechanical engineering
Preferably Licensed Engineer
WORK EXPERIENCE
With at least with one to three years of related work experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES
Proficient in MS Office
Knowledgeable in AutoCAD
Knowledgeable in basic hydraulics principles
Knowledgeable in SCADA system
Knowledgeable in office processes, procedures, and technology
Basic knowledge in Database Management and programming
High problem solving and analytical thinking skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong decision-making skills
Excellent people management skills
Excellent presentation skills
Ability to learn new software, applications
Ability to perceive and discriminate colors or shades of color, sound, odor, and visual cues or signals

Work is typically performed in an office setting with normal ranges of temperature and a moderate to high level of office background noise. The duties may also include performance time in the field at terminals and operations. This may include outdoor and project related work. Face-to-face interaction, as well as via e-mail, telephone and mobile phones are typically the occurring ways of communication. This job also requires the ability to use other office equipment such as printer, copier, fax machine, etc. Occasionally attend to meetings and trainings throughout the office and at other company office sites and field locations.
