About the Role
As a Video Editor, you need to be technically savvy since you will largely use computerised equipment and advanced video editing software in your work. You will assemble recorded footage and turn it into a coherent, informative, and entertaining piece of media and ensure that the final product is fitting with the creative vision.
Key Responsibilities
Review, manage, store, and edit video assets using different video applications.
Create and write content for videos and digital content for social media posting.
Manage own accounts and projects, working within budget and scheduling requirements.
Collaborate with clients to brainstorm content topics.
Improve content by adding music, sound, film, or artwork.
Ensure all published content meets quality standards.
Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running.
Consult with clients from production to post-production process.
Present final layouts to clients for approval.
Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry's best practices to maximise efficiency.
Spread the word about the company among advertising agencies and key design communities.
Position Prerequisites
Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a video editor - on a digital marketing agency is a plus.
Experience in content management is required.
Experience in motion and animation graphics is required.
Must have experience using MAC.
Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages.
Experience producing a large variety of work from campaign collateral, retail graphics, corporate identity, branding, or designing for emails and online. The expectation is you will deliver beautiful, inspiring, and impeccably finished creativity.
Excellent communication skills in the English language.
Education
Tertiary qualifications in video production, film, broadcast, audio, and video editing computer software programs.
Technologies to be Used
Adobe creative suites (mainly Premiere and After Effects)
Final Cut Pro experience
Probably with iOS/MAC experience
Storyboarding
Apple/MAC
