We are looking for a Tax Senior Accountant. This position will work for our Tax Services department.
In this role you will:
• Have direct client representation and consultations- responsible for research inquiries.
• Prepare Federal, State and City tax returns for Individuals, Corporations, Exempt Organizations, Partnerships, and Trusts.
• Consult with clients regarding tax compliance issues
• Train and mentor Staff in the Tax Services Department.
• Prepare financial statements; perform compilations and reviews.
• Keep current on applicable tax laws and regulations.
• Participate in quality review control programs.
• Build good relationships with clients' staff to foster requests for additional services.
• Actively contribute to and participate in firm projects and initiatives.
• Perform other accounting, tax, and consulting duties as needed in engagements.
Applicants must possess the following:
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of public accounting tax experience (individual, S-Corp, C-Corp, & partnership returns).
• Non-profit tax experience a plus.
• CPA eligible required. CPA preferred.
• Knowledge of general accounting principles.
• Proficient in use of computers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Strong English written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
• Team-oriented mindset providing customers with high quality work and excellent customer service.
• Strong planning and organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience with Quickbooks, ProSystems fx Tax, ProSystems fx Engagement, and CCH Axcess Tax is a plus.
