THE ROLE
Our client is looking for a Staff Accountant who excels in tax, accounting, and/or auditing. The ideal candidate will exhibit high standards, excellent communication skills, and can take initiative and prioritize daily tasks.
SCHEDULE: 8 AM -5 PM Eastern Daylight Time (8 PM - 5 AM Philippine Local Time), follows Philippine holidays
POSITION TYPE: Full Time
WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Handle tax return preparation and tax notices
Perform bookkeeping and utilize QuickBooks
Handle financial report preparation
Handle payroll management
Handle sales tax reporting
Collect and research data
Design workflows and procedures
Respond to customer needs, solicit customer feedback to improve service, and respond to requests for service and assistance
Perform other related duties as assigned by the management
QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelor's degree in Accounting is preferred
3 - 5 years of US accounting-related experience
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, project management software, and Accounting software like QuickBooks is required
Proficient English written and oral communication skills
Ability to adapt/deal with frequent changes in the work environment, delays, or unexpected events
Ability to manage competing demands, and change approach or method to best fit the situation
Analytical and able to synthesize complex or diverse information
Ability to use intuition and experience to complement data
Customer service and ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations, and meet commitments
