Reporting Manager Title: Supervisor, Underwriting
Job Purpose
Appraisal and settlement of cases up to authority limit following company procedures and guidelines. Participation in activities to complete operation plans and company initiatives.
Major Accountabilities
Assesses the degree of risk presented by the proposed insured and the owner following company procedures and guidelines. Provides second opinion to cases referred by lower level underwriters. Provides information and support to advisors and other sales personnel through emails, SMS, and answering telephone inquiries to help them fulfill their field underwriting responsibilities in selecting risks and submitting underwriting information. Provides score to advisors for both positive and negative performances in WMS. Refers malpractices and misrepresentations to immediate superior and to Compliance immediately upon discovery. Reports impairment codes of rated, Not as Applied For and Rejected cases in IUM/WMS Timely review and update sharepoints : UW on Hold Contracts, Re-triggers, Oldest cases, High risk, & HNW
