Job purpose
Plays a key role in preparing individuals with the knowledge and skills necessary to maintain excellence in food safety, quality, and operational processes.
Duties and responsibilities
Designing and developing training programs that align with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and organizational needs.
Conducting training sessions for employees across various departments, focusing on topics such as food safety, hygiene standards, operational procedures, and customer service.
Creating training materials, including manuals, presentations, and videos, to support learning objectives and ensure consistency in training delivery.
Assessing the effectiveness of training programs through evaluations, feedback, and performance metrics to continuously improve training methods and content.
Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies through training initiatives.
Facilitating skills development and career progression by identifying training needs, conducting skills gap analyses, and implementing relevant training solutions.
Collaborating with department heads, managers, and trainers to coordinate training schedules, integrate new hires, and support ongoing professional development efforts.
Maintaining accurate records of training activities, certifications, and employee progress, and preparing reports for management review.
Staying updated with industry trends, best practices, and technological advancements to enhance training methodologies and content relevance.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Human Resources - Training and Development, Education, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a training or educational role within the food industry.
Relevant certifications in food safety are highly desirable.
Proven experience in developing and delivering training programs related to food safety, hygiene, and operational procedures
Strong understanding of food safety regulations, HACCP principles, and industry standards.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple training programs simultaneously.
Proficient in creating training materials using various tools and software
