Technical Specialist - Industrial Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning Systems is responsible for the technical evaluation, performance assessment, and advisory services related to refrigeration and HVAC systems across all San Miguel Foods plants and facilities nationwide. This role ensures system reliability, energy efficiency, and full compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The position plays a vital role in identifying operational issues, recommending and implementing solutions, supporting the development of CAPEX proposals, and overseeing the execution of projects. A key part of the role is conducting hands-on training-focusing on the safe operation and maintenance of ammonia and HFC (Hydrofluorocarbon)-based systems. The role requires the establishment and standardization of operational and maintenance procedures for refrigeration and HVAC systems across all facilities.Education/Licensure/Certification:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Technology, or related field
Preferred: PRC License (for Engineers); NC II/III in RAC (Refrigeration & Air Conditioning) or equivalent
TESDA NC II or NC III in RAC or equivalent; Registered or Professional Mechanical Engineer
Ammonia Safety Handling Certification
Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) or related DOLE-recognized safety training
Work Experience/Exposure:
Minimum 5 years relevant experience in industrial refrigeration systems in food manufacturing, cold storage, or agro-industrial facilities
