The Tax Reporting Supervisor is responsible for the preparation of accurate tax calculations and to file and pay tax returns on time in compliance with tax rules and regulations to avoid penalties and surcharges.
Role focuses on
Preparation/supervision in the preparation of all tax returns which includes preparing tax returns after month end closing, maintaining documents and review reconciliation schedules supporting tax declarations; supervision and provision of training to tax assistant/s on how to generate reports and prepare reconciliation; review of BIR tax deadlines for the month, keeping abreast with new rules and regulation issued by BIR, and; assistance in the preparation of income tax projection for the year.
Submission/review of the journal entries for all tax returns and supporting documents as well as review of the monthly tax account reconciliation.
Monitoring the proper filing and payment of tax returns which includes status of tax return approvals, filing of tax returns based on the approved tax declarations, review and submission of alpha lists, VAT list and other attachments; requests approval from SM Treasury for the tax amount/s to be paid and sends the documents to payment authorizer.
Qualification
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam), Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Preferably Assistant Manager / Managers specializing in Finance - Taxation Reporting or equivalent.
Work location is in One E-com Building, Mall of Asia, Pasay City. We are currently on work hybrid setup.
