Job Description :
What you will be responsible for:
Ensuring that VAT and C&Ex returns and connected supplementary returns are prepared according to the global standard process and controls, local Desktop Procedures ("DTPs), on time and utilising automation tools where applicable; when necessary provides the necessary Review to tax returns and reconciliations;
Coordinates the daily operational work of their team, regularly informs Senior Manager on important opportunities or risks (including those related to systems, VAT/Customs and Excise technical aspects, audits, people matters etc.) and supports and leads projects, which require an L5A Team Leader technical knowledge;
When required, support VAT and Custom and Excise related audit enquiries and projects for your markets;
Ensuring balance sheet reconciliations are done on time and in an internal and external control compliant way;
Actively managing and coordinating the Indirect Tax Team for tax document retention;
Comply with controls and Key Performance Indicators ("KPIs") and continuous improvement within the control environment;
Supports the continuous improvement of processes and contained professional development of them and his/her Team;
Supports Indirect Tax SMEs in providing tax assistance from the Team in projects, tax queries, tax audits;
Provides assistance to Indirect Head of Indirect Tax Compliance in strategic decisions and in execution of Global Indirect Tax compliance processes including of identification of process and knowledge gaps, dealing with key risk areas of taxes as well as support in continuous improvement, value-add projects, automation.
The qualifications and experience you will bring:
Accountancy graduate, CPA preferred
Ideally minimum 3-4 years relevant Indirect Tax experience, and
People Manager experience;
Experience at an operational level with VAT and/or C&Ex, controls and risk management;
Experience with transitions and project management;
Experience in working with VAT/C&Ex Tool and/or VAT/C&Ex in SAP
Experience in working with markets that have highly complex legislation.
