We are seeking an experienced System Administrator with a strong background in advanced technical support and expertise in Microsoft 365 administration.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our organization's systems and infrastructure.
They will play a key role in providing technical support, troubleshooting complex issues, and managing Microsoft 365 services to enhance productivity and efficiency across the organization.
Job Responsibilities:
Advanced Technical Support:
Provide advanced technical support for hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Analyze system logs and performance indicators to identify potential issues and implement solutions proactively.
Collaborate with other IT team members to address escalated support tickets and ensure timely resolution.
Develop and maintain documentation for troubleshooting procedures, system configurations, and best practices.
Microsoft 365 Administration:
Manage and administer Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive for Business.
Configure and maintain user accounts, groups, and permissions within the Microsoft 365 environment.
Monitor service health and performance, and implement necessary configurations to optimize Microsoft 365 services.
Implement security measures such as multi-factor authentication, data loss prevention, and encryption to safeguard organizational data.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and recommend solutions leveraging Microsoft 365 capabilities.
System Administration:
Install, configure, and maintain server operating systems, including Windows Server and Linux distributions.
Manage virtualized environments using platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V.
Perform regular system backups and ensure data integrity and availability.
Monitor system performance and resource utilization, and optimize configurations as needed.
Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and antivirus solutions.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated on emerging technologies, best practices, and industry trends related to system administration and Microsoft 365.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance system reliability and efficiency.
Participate in IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and deployments, ensuring successful implementation and minimal disruption to operations.
Required skills & experience:
Proven experience in system administration, with a focus on advanced technical support and Microsoft 365 administration.
Strong proficiency in administering Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive for Business.
In-depth knowledge of server operating systems, virtualization technologies, and networking concepts.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified is a PLUS: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Messaging Administrator Associate, or VMware Certified Professional (VCP) are preferred.
