Position Summary:
Provides analyses and recommendations to the different business functions such as Business Development, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, SIOP, Sourcing, Customer Service, Finance, and Operations/plants, not just one plant but across different plants in reviewing, analyzing, documenting and validating user requirements, applications and processes. Enhances product workflow and develops project plans to streamline production planning, distribution order management and inventory control providing visibility to customers, commercial businesses and all business functions. This position typically supports not just one business entity.
Major Responsibilities:
1. Leads and liaises with different cross functional leaders and support teams to drive project plans to timely completion in supporting the business tactical and strategic business plans by managing the project portfolio, providing feedback to the leadership team on resource planning, issues, opportunities, and recommendations to improve timeliness.
2. Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes. Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy. Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
3. Gathers and evaluates data from multiple sources of different business functions. Analyzes, reconciles and identifies measurable opportunities for improvement. Identifies and implements audit processes to ensure issues are identified, tracked, reported and resolved in a timely manner.
4. Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.
5. Develops and maintains processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity across different departments. Creates and maintains workflows and approval processes based on internal stakeholder requirements
6. Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
7. Acts as subject matter expert for new processes, KPI's, and data management and aid in training for new processes and mentoring Analysts I and II. Collaborates with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements. Partners with various managers to design optimal solutions that meet the business needs of our internal and external customers.
8. Assist in report development, gathering, analyzing and effectively visualizing data for Executive Leaders' Business Reviews and other requirements.
9. Perform analysis on Sales, Orders, Backlog, Past Due, Delivery, and other Supply Chain metrics in drilling down data to determine how much are the gaps in numbers and to identify specific areas of opportunities that will ultimately be useful for the executive leaders to identify and implement action items for business improvements.
10. Creates data analyses and visualizations mainly through Power BI, and Excel for Supply Chain metrics;
Assists stakeholders with regular updates, changes and improvement requests.
11. Presents story of visualized data to stakeholders which may include staff from different departments to President level.
12. Manages ongoing support requests to support supply planning leads (material managers, plant managers and product managers). Interfaces with functional leads to transform and develop new requirements into supply chain projects and implementation. Supports any other core Procurement/Supply Chain programs that will impact the overall Supply Chain decision;
13. Initiate the demand forecast accuracy analysis and provide a deeper analysis on the dynamics of the forecast error monthly. Participate on the Executive S&OP discussion to help give a better understanding on how the demand is coming in using the analysis done on demand forecast. Provide complex data analysis in aiding the creation of business decisions of the whole business unit.
Qualifications
Required Education / Experience / Skills:
Have at least 2 years experience as Sales/Operations/Finance Analyst
Candidate must possess at least a bachelor's degree in any of these: Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Economics, Marketing, Finance, Business Administration major in Supply Chain/Management, or Computer Science.
Detail oriented and accurate
Strong Excel skills and proficient in MS Access, and MS PowerPoint
Well-developed analytical skills, articulate, innovative and confident
Flexible, able to work on own initiative, deal with more than one project at a time, can work under pressure and tight deadlines, and prioritize tasks accordingly
Very good communication skills, verbal and written
Self-starter and a strong team player
Oracle System Knowledge
BI Knowledge
Knowledge of Visualization and Analytics within MS Power BI
Preferred:
Very good presentation skills
Basic understanding of SQL
Experience supporting SIOP responsibilities (Demand, Supply, Inventory)
