Job Summary:
Responsible for planning, leading, organizing, controlling and effectively managing Liquid Compounding Line, Powder Compounding Line, Kettle Production Line and Production Planning activities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Manages various major activities of Production Section in accordance with the set standards/policies and requirements of operation units through a system of planning, leading, organizing and controlling.
Establish and enforce organizational standards for safety and production process.
Reviews and monitor critical operational areas/processes with key personnel and make a prompt and sound decision when called for.
Planning of production requirements, schedules and operations.
Evaluates performance of operation as to efficient usage of raw and packaging materials, man-hours against established standard.
Implements all quality assurance programs and standards to ensure product excellence, coordinated with Quality Assurance.
Administers company policies and rules and regulations consistently.
Submits daily/monthly production reports of raw materials usage, man-hour utilization against established standard and approves material requisition and product transfer.
Holds periodic meeting with subordinates:
To inform/update knowledge on various plant activities in order to improve performance/efficiency.
To discuss operation/personnel problem.
To be able to institute corrective action.
To gather ideas from personnel for the purpose of motivating work activities and conditions.
Oversee implementation of the Food Safety and Quality Management System in Production.
Establish and implement an effective planning, leading, organizing, and controlling system within Production department in coordination with other departments.
Planning of production requirements, schedules and operation for maximum utilization of manpower, time and materials to attain optimum results.
Leading and organizing the production staff and equipment for the orderly and timely implementation of production activities. Consistently administer Company policies, rules and regulations. Encourage teamwork and motivate subordinates.
Implement all quality programs and standards to conform to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and ensures product excellence.
Be able to conduct a professional manner in all areas of works particularly in communicating and providing information with internal and external personalities.
Leads employee training and development.
Identifies issues and takes appropriate actions to control.
To constantly inform superiors regarding operational developments and problems.
The Production Supervisor is therefore responsible and accountable to all assigned work within her jurisdiction. This includes implementation of the Food Safety and Quality Management System in Production and orderliness of all production facilities and personnel.
Report issues and concern that may affect the effective implementation of the FSQMS program.
Performs other duties that may be assigned to or required of the job.
Education & Experience:
Graduate of Engineering, Food Technology or other related courses.
With at least 5 years' experience as Production Supervisor in a Food Manufacturing set-up, preferably in a food ingredients company.
Knowledge on GMP, HACCP and Production Management Systems a must.
With broad knowledge of production planning.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills
Skills & Abilities:
Previous supervisory experience
Excellent coaching and communication skills
Broad knowledge of production planning process, controls and instrumentation
Excellent critical thinking, problem solving and strategic planning skills
Able to deal with complex issues in a fast-paced setting
Knowledge of process improvement, budgeting and production standards
Ability to head a team successfully and resolve issues relating to personnel quickly and efficiently
Working Environment/Physical Demands:
Work is in a professional office environment.
Regular exposure to laboratory and manufacturing plant conditions.
