Job Description:
Job Purpose
Supervises the team of NB Reviewers to ensure that Non Medical applications are accurately appraised either manually or through the Automated Appraisal System following all applicable policies, procedures and guidelines; application data are accurately entered/updated into the Sun Life's /Sun Life Grepa's NB systems; policy contracts are issued accurately and timely ; and service level standards are met. Performs simple underwriting for occupation and foreign residence guidelines up to her /his approval authority limit.
Major Accountabilities
Hires, trains, supervises and develops skills of NB Reviewers to meet the department's objectives; recommends promotions; administers first level of disciplinary action and recommends further action, if necessary.
Reviews, revises, recommends, communicates and implements process improvements and procedures as the need arises; ensures that procedures are accurately and timely documented and updated in the ISD Database; drafts Quick Reference Guides.
Participates in the implementation of projects relating to NB initiatives and new products, such as ensuring that appropriate guidelines are incorporated in the business requirements and accurately tested.
Performs speedy issue appraisal following either manual or automated guidelines and simple underwriting for occupation and foreign residence risks up to approval authority limit.
Approves cancellation of policies and refund check requests up to approval authority limit.
Ensures staff responds to all inquiries (emails, telephone, walk-in) in a timely, accurate and courteous manner, investigates complains and provides actions as necessary.
Performs settlement of underwriting Jumbo cases and adjustments of records in our system.

CAS Approval Authority Limit: Ps500,000.00, or US Dollar Equivalent
Waiver authority Limit : Ps500.00, or US Dollar Equivalent
Speedy Issue/Automated Appraisal Authority Limit:
Php 10 M with Sun Life; Php 12 Million all companies ( manual settlement )
Up to Php 10.0 M ( auto appraisal )
