About the job
Reporting to the store Marketing and Communications Manager, this SPECIALIST role is responsible for providing the IKEA Store with communication expertise, materials and tools that drive positive perception of the IKEA brand among co-workers, corporate stakeholders and the community in which we operate (our Primary Market Area). The Communication function supports our business aspiration: to be a great place to work, delivering sustainable growth and a fantastic customer experience.
Your assignment
You support leaders in delivering inspiring and clear messages about changes and/or developments within their teams/projects - giving guidance and support to secure strong communication, internal announcements and more. You craft key messages and provide supporting "proofs" to support strategic communication;
You maintain knowledge of store priorities and commercial goals at all times, advising leaders of best channels for sharing information and developing communication competence;
You deliver store communication support during operational or reputational crisis situations, working in matrix with SO Corporate Communication, Risk and your management team to deliver aligned internal communication;
You track and manage all requests to the IKEA store for public speaking and/or community engagement, working with Sustainability to leverage opportunities that help IKEA to position itself as a champion of people and the planet;
You support store Commercial Activity Leaders in delivering any events that engage our community/customers and project IKEA as a Good Neighbour.
Qualifications
Your profile
You have at least 2-3 years relevant experience of working in a strategic communication, media and marketing role; experience in retail marketing management and customer loyalty clubs is a plus.
You have experience in working in a fast-paced retail environment;
You are well-versed in the local community and local environment scene;
You have a passion for Home Furnishing and interest in developing the IKEA Brand through people;
You have strategic and creative-thinking skills - able to think "out of the box" and challenge common ways of thinking.
You are well versed in Photoshop, Illustrator/InDesign, Premiere Pro and Microsoft Office.

This role requires flexibility in work hours, depending on store operational requirements.
Temporary work location will be at the 17th Floor, No. 8 Rockwell Building, Hidalgo Drive, Makati City.
