About the job
Reporting to the Business Navigation & Operations Manager, this ASSISTANT MANAGERIAL role is tasked to ensure that the staffing optimization process delivers to the needs of the store while continuously seeking and coordinating business opportunities through optimized staff planning focused on our co-worker, customer, and business.
Your assignment
You develop a store staffing action plan which secures best use of available resources, a diverse, appropriate staff structure and meets the defined business and productivity goals, therefore contributing to the reaching of the regional staffing approach;
You are aware of the people strategy and you ensure that the regional and local principles/guidelines are implemented in the staff planning process reflected in the co-workers schedules in coordination with the Human Resource on recruitment and store staffing structure;
You are responsible for safeguarding the stores complete staff planning process from forecasting to execution of the schedule, by timely posting of schedules, ensuring scheduled hours include planned absences, advising managers in maximizing resource availability and skill-base across all departments while co-worker, customer and business needs are sustained;
You contribute to the delivery of objectives in the store staffing approach by securing close follow-up on staff planning and related retail KPI's with accurate reporting leading to exploring best practices and opportunities for benchmarking throughout the regional staff planning matrix organisation;
You identify talents ensuring the competence development and succession planning for the Staff planning Specialists by providing transfer of knowledge, expertise, and training in all aspects of the staff planning process.
Qualifications
Your profile
You have atleast 3-5 years' relevant staff/workforce planning/scheduling experience in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment;
You have demonstrated ability to coordinate people and tasks, follow up and work with a sense of urgency;
You have good analytical and numerical skills; strong decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational skills;
You have intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel).
Additional Information
This role requires flexibility in work hours depending on store operational requirements. Working on public holidays and weekends.
Work Location is at IKEA Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines.
