Summary:
The Dexcom IT Department is seeking a Staff Information Security Engineer to serve as a technical lead of information security infrastructure and implementation projects. Upcoming projects include implementation of data loss protection, endpoint detection and response, and insider threat technologies. The position will implement state-of-the-art security systems and apply security controls in a globally distributed, enterprise environment. Responsibilities:
Serve as technical lead on security infrastructure projects and manage security infrastructure.
Provide security consulting and coaching to customer/partners and encourage adoption of security best practices.
Design and deploy security infrastructure such as DLP, SWG, CASB, UBA, EDR, SIEM, MDM, NAC, etc.
Conduct security assessments of new tools, applications and systems.
Serve as a security expert and provide technical leadership to other staff members.
Required Qualifications:
BS/MS in computer science/engineering, information technology, or technical field.
6+ years of experience in the cybersecurity, IT, or engineering fields; with at least 2 years in a senior security engineer role.
Knowledge breadth across a variety of areas of security infrastructure, such as: DLP, SWG, CASB, UBA, EDR, SIEM, MDM, NAC, etc.
Ability to develop technical depth and expert knowledge in select areas as needed.
Security certifications such as CISSP, SANS/GIAC, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated success in influencing peers/partners without direct authority. Ability to develop scripts in languages such as Powershell, Python, etc.
Proficiency in communicating technical concepts both verbally and in written documentation. Experience and

Language Skills: Must be able to communicate effectively in English. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
